My friend was driving home last night and heard that there was a meat spill on the Penninsula. And there were marvelous quotable quotes like "meat in all lanes" and "a butcher truck lost its load."

Raised in Los Gatos, I moved back here. Learn some history as well as current events and get steeped in the culture of a bedroom community that is uniquely Silicon Valley. See the day to day doings from my eyes as I walk around and try out new and old restaurants and shops. Help me remember names of stores of times gone by. We moved here in 1976, and I've watched the town grow from an artists' community to the rich bedroom community of today.
